How to add your credit card to a Google Account and remove it again

This guide provides steps on how to temporarily add a credit or debit card to a Google Account for purchasing BIG Launcher apps and then safely remove it.

If you need to purchase a BIG Launcher application for a Google Account you don't typically use for purchases (for example, a family member's account), you can temporarily link your credit or debit card to that account, make the purchase, and then remove the card.

Please note: The visuals in the video may show an older version of the Android operating system or Google Play Store interface. While the general steps remain similar, specific button placements or wording might vary slightly in current versions.

Adding Your Credit or Debit Card

  1. Open the Google Play Store app on the device linked to the Google Account.
  2. Tap the menu icon (usually located in the upper left corner, often represented by three horizontal lines).
  3. From the menu, choose "Payment methods".
  4. On the Payment methods screen, you will see a list of available options. Select "Add credit or debit card".
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your card details and complete the setup.

Purchasing Your BIG Launcher App License

Once your card is successfully added:

  1. Run the desired BIG Launcher application (e.g., BIG Launcher, BIG Phone, or BIG SMS for Seniors).
  2. Navigate to the app's Preferences menu.
  3. Purchase the license through the options provided within the app.

Important: Each BIG Launcher app (BIG Launcher, BIG Phone, BIG SMS for Seniors) has its own separate license and must be purchased individually.

Removing Your Credit or Debit Card

After your purchase is complete, you can safely remove your card from the Google Account:

  1. Launch the Google Play Store app again.
  2. Return to the "Payment methods" screen through the menu icon.
  3. On the Payment methods screen, select "More payment settings".
  4. You will be redirected to the Google Pay website in your browser.
  5. On the Google Pay website, you can securely remove your credit or debit card from the account.

Rest assured: Removing the card will not affect the paid licenses of your BIG Launcher apps. The payment was already processed and registered with the app's license.
