When using BIG Phone for Seniors, by default, after you dial a number, a menu appears. This menu offers you a choice: you can either dial the number immediately or save it to a new or existing contact. While useful for some, other users may prefer to dial numbers directly without this intermediate step.
How to Disable the Dialer Menu
If you wish to bypass this menu and have numbers dialed instantly, follow these steps:
- Access Preferences: From your BIG Phone home screen, tap the three dots icon, typically found next to the clock.
- Select Preferences: A menu will appear. From this menu, choose “Preferences”.
- Navigate to Contacts: Within the Preferences screen, select the option labeled “Contacts”.
- Enable Direct Dialing: On the next screen, locate and enable the setting titled “No menu in the dialer”.
Once this setting is enabled, any number you dial in BIG Phone will be dialed immediately without the confirmation menu appearing.
