Part 1 — 🚀 Getting Started

What Is BIG Launcher?

BIG Launcher replaces the complicated مرڪزي اسڪرين screen of your Android فون with a simple, easy-to-read interface. Instead of small icons and confusing menus, you get large buttons with big text that are easy to see and press.

Who is BIG Launcher for?

• People with vision problems or blindness
• People with motor difficulties, Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's disease
• Anyone who wants a simpler, stress-free فون experience

The BIG Apps Suite

BIG Launcher works together with two companion apps:

Installation

Setup Wizard

The first time you کليل BIG Launcher, a setup wizard guides you through basic سيٽنگ:

Step 1: alsoڻ

• Your فون's alsoڻ is selected automatically
• You can choose from over 40 languages manually
• Some special characters may not display آن older phones

Step 2: alsoڻ

• ڊفالٽ — Standard size (recommended for most users)
• وڏو — Larger text for better readability
• ** alsoو وڏو** — Maximum size (for serious vision problems)

Step 3: Color alsoڻ

• Light (ڊفالٽ) — White background, black text
• Dark — Black background, white text (easier at night)
• Blue — Light blue alsoڻ (also suitable for color-blind users)

Step 4: Deletion Permissions

• alsoڻ or بند deletion of ڪال history, ايڇ ايم ايس پيغام, and رابطا
• For safety, بند deletion for users who might accidentally alsoجھو important info
• Tap the box under each option and choose "Allow" or "Don't allow"

Step 5: Complete

• Tap the green checkmark to finish
• BIG Launcher will ask for permissions to access رابطا, calls, and پيغام
• Your data is never collected or sent online

1. Select BIG Launcher from the list
2. Tap "Always" or "Set as ڊفالٽ"

Automatic: کليل BIG ايڇ ايم ايس → tap ها when asked to set as ڊفالٽ.

Manual: 1. Go to System سيٽنگ → Apps → three dots (⋮) → ڊفالٽ apps 2. Tap Messaging app → select BIG ايڇ ايم ايس for Seniors

⚠️ Important: Only the ڊفالٽ فون app can ڏيکاريو incoming ڪال screens and access ڪال history. Only the ڊفالٽ ايڇ ايم ايس app can alsoجھو and receive پيغام.

Checking the Price

1. Tap the three dots (⋮) اڳيان to the clock → سيٽنگ
2. Tap "خريديو the مڪمل نسخو"
3. The price appears in your local currency
4. Each app (BIG Launcher, BIG فون, BIG ايڇ ايم ايس) must be purchased separately

Buying

1. Tap the three dots (⋮) → سيٽنگ → "خريديو the مڪمل نسخو"
2. Select the app you want to unlock
3. Follow the payment process
4. If completed successfully, tap the مرڪزي اسڪرين button and all features will be unlocked

⚠️ Important: An order receipt will be sent to your email. Don't alsoجھو it — it contains your order number. If you encounter any problems with your license in the future, you can use this order number as proof of purchase.

Remember: You need to repeat this process for each app separately — BIG Launcher, BIG فون, and BIG ايڇ ايم ايس.

Restoring Your License

If you already purchased but don't see the green checkmark: 1. Make sure you're connected to the internet 2. Tap Refresh in the خريديو section 3. Restarting your فون may help

When replacing your فون: - Use the same Google account as the original purchase - The license should restore automatically - If not: سيٽنگ → "خريديو the مڪمل نسخو" → look for the green checkmark

Purchasing for Someone Else

The licenses remain active even after removing the card.

The مرڪزي اسڪرين screen shows:

• Top bar: Clock, date, battery level, signal strength
• Main area: Six large buttons for the most important functions
• Menu: Three dots (⋮) اڳيان to the clock for سيٽنگ

The Six ڊفالٽ Buttons

Screen Layout Options

⚠️ Warning about 1×1 and 2×2 layouts: The three dots menu is hidden in these layouts. The lower-left button (2×2) or single button (1×1) automatically becomes a سيٽنگ shortcut. If you change it, you may lose access to سيٽنگ. Emergency access: Hold the top-left button for 30 seconds.

Portrait and Landscape

Blinking Buttons

When a button blinks, it means there's something new:

• فون blinking — You have مسڊ ڪالز
• پيغام blinking — You have unread text پيغام
• Other apps blinking — That app has a notification (e.g., WhatsApp, Gmail)

Setting an Alarm

1. Tap the clock or date آن the مرڪزي اسڪرين screen
2. Your فون's alarm app opens
3. Set your alarm as usual
4. When an alarm is set, a small bell icon (🔔) appears اڳيان to the clock

Part 3 — 📞 فون & Calling

The فون Screen

Tap فون آن the مرڪزي اسڪرين screen to see:

1. My رابطا — All رابطا with فون numbers

3. ڊائل Number — Keypad for manual dialing

Making a ڪال from رابطا

1. Tap فون → My رابطا (or پسنديده)
2. Scroll or use the alsoڻ box at the top
3. Tap the رابطو you want to ڪال
4. Tap the فون number
5. Choose "ڪال" from the menu

Using the Dialer

1. Tap فون → ڊائل Number
2. Tap the numbers آن the keypad
3. To alsoجھو the last digit, tap the number display at the top
4. To clear all, hold your finger آن the number display
5. Tap the green فون button to ڪال

During a ڪال

Available buttons during a ڪال:

• End ڪال (red) — Hang up
• Speaker — Speakerphone آن/آف
• Mute — Microphone آن/آف
• Keypad — Number pad (for automated فون systems)
• Hold — Put the ڪال آن hold
• Bluetooth — Switch to Bluetooth headset

ڪال Screen Safety Features

• Collapse/Expand button — Hides all buttons except End ڪال
• Empty space at top — Prevents your ear from pressing buttons
• Confirm to end ڪال — Optional confirmation before hanging up

Simplifying the ڪال Menu

When you tap a رابطو, a menu appears with ڪال and ايڇ ايم ايس options. You can simplify this:

** alsoجھو ايڇ ايم ايس option: 1. سيٽنگ → رابطا → بند "ڏيکاريو پيغام option in ڪال dialog" 2. Now only the "ڪال"** option will be shown — this works as a confirmation and prevents accidental calls

Direct ڊائل (نه menu at all): 1. سيٽنگ → رابطا → alsoڻ "نه menu when calling the رابطو" 2. Tapping a رابطو will immediately start the ڪال

⚠️ We don't recommend disabling the confirmation menu — otherwise random calls can be triggered anytime when handling the فون.

ڊفالٽ Audio Device

1. سيٽنگ → فون → "ڊفالٽ audio device for calls"
2. Choose from:

4. Earpiece — Small speaker at your ear
5. Bluetooth — Connected Bluetooth headset
6. Wired Headset — Headphones with a cable
7. Speaker — Loudspeaker

Switching during a ڪال: During an active ڪال, you can see the active audio device آن the second button. Tap it to cycle between all available devices (earpiece, speaker, Bluetooth, wired headset).

Dual SIM Phones

If your فون has two SIM cards, you'll be asked which SIM to use when making a ڪال.

ڪال History

1. Tap فون → تازو ڪالز
2. Icons indicate ڪال type:
3. Green arrow — Outgoing (you called)
4. Blue arrow — Incoming (they called)
5. Red arrow — Missed ڪال
6. Tap any entry to ڪال وري
7. Tap ** alsoجھو** to alsoجھو an entry (if deletion is enabled)

Part 4 — 👥 رابطا

Viewing رابطا

1. Tap فون → My رابطا
2. Scroll through the list or use the alsoڻ box
3. Tap any رابطو to see their details

رابطو details may include: - فون numbers — Tap to ڪال or alsoجھو ايڇ ايم ايس - Email addresses — Tap to alsoجھو email - Websites, notes, birthday/anniversary

پسنديده (Favorite) رابطا

1. کليل a رابطو's details
2. Tap شامل ڪريو star — the رابطو appears in the پسنديده list
3. Tap ** alsoجھو star** to undo

Adding a New رابطو

1. Tap فون → شامل ڪريو رابطو
2. Enter the رابطو's name
3. Tap شامل ڪريو فون and enter the فون number
4. You can شامل ڪريو multiple numbers (مرڪزي اسڪرين, Mobile, Work)
5. Tap شامل ڪريو email for email addresses
6. Tap محفوظ

Adding a Photo to a رابطو

1. کليل the رابطو → tap Set photo
2. Choose ** alsoيلري (existing photo) or ڪئميرا** (take new)
3. Use the crop tool to select the area you want
4. Tap the green محفوظ button

Editing a رابطو

1. کليل the رابطو → tap ترميم
2. Make your changes

Deleting a رابطو

Deletion is disabled by ڊفالٽ to prevent accidents. To alsoڻ: 1. سيٽنگ → رابطا → alsoڻ "شامل ڪريو رابطو alsoجھو option" 2. Or re-run the Setup wizard and change deletion permissions

Part 5 — 💬 پيغام (ايڇ ايم ايس)

Reading پيغام

1. Tap پيغام آن the مرڪزي اسڪرين screen
2. You'll see recent conversations with رابطو names and last پيغام
3. Tap a conversation to read all پيغام

پيغام colors: - Green border — پيغام you sent - Yellow border — پيغام you received - Checkmark — پيغام was delivered

Sending a New پيغام

1. Tap پيغام → نئون لکو
2. Choose a رابطو or enter a فون number manually
3. Type your پيغام
4. Tap ** alsoجھو**

💡 Character limit: One ايڇ ايم ايس holds 160 characters (70 with emoji/special characters). Longer پيغام are split into multiple ايڇ ايم ايس.

Replying to a پيغام

1. کليل the conversation
2. Tap جواب
3. Type your پيغام → tap ** alsoجھو**

پيغام Options

Long-press a پيغام for options like alsoڻ, copy, or alsoجھو.

ايڇ ايم ايم ايس پيغام (Pictures)

If someone sends a picture or video: 1. The پيغام shows "This is ايڇ ايم ايم ايس" 2. Tap ڊائونلوڊ to get the full پيغام 3. Tap again to view

ايڇ ايم ايس Templates

Create پيغام templates for quick responses: 1. In the پيغام editor, tap Templates 2. Tap Create → type your پيغام → محفوظ 3. اڳيان time, tap Templates and select your saved پيغام

Dual SIM Support

If your فون has two SIM cards, you'll be asked which SIM to use when sending.

Deleting پيغام

You can alsoجھو: - Individual پيغام - Entire conversation threads - All پيغام at once

⚠️ Warning: Bulk deletion cannot be undone!

ايڇ ايم ايس Notifications

Notification Types

• Blinking button — پيغام button blinks آن مرڪزي اسڪرين screen
• Sound — Notification tone plays

Configuring Notifications آن Android 10+

Method 1 — Through notification bar: 1. Pull down the notifications bar 2. Long-tap the "BIG ايڇ ايم ايس for Seniors" notification 3. Tap Details → Incoming پيغام 4. Set notification style and sound

Method 2 — Through system سيٽنگ: 1. System سيٽنگ → Notifications → See all → BIG ايڇ ايم ايس for Seniors

Vibration Duration

• None (0s) | Short (0.5s) | Optimal (1s) | Long (2s)

Repeating Notifications

Set notifications to repeat every 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes until you read the پيغام.

Fixing ايڇ ايم ايس Button Blinking Issues

آن some devices, the ايڇ ايم ايس button blinks constantly even when there is نه unread ايڇ ايم ايس پيغام. This is a bug in the فون's firmware. To fix it:

1. Tap the three dots (⋮) → سيٽنگ → Screens' options
2. alsoڻ "Blinking button when an app shows a notification"
3. alsoڻ Notification access for BIG Launcher → tap Allow
4. Go وري to the مرڪزي اسڪرين screen → tap the three dots → "Set buttons"
5. Tap the ايڇ ايم ايس button → choose "App" → select "BIG ايڇ ايم ايس for Seniors"
6. Return to the مرڪزي اسڪرين screen → کليل the ايپس list
7. Tap the ** alsoڻ box** and type exactly: admin set screensEcosystemPrivileged false ٺيڪ
8. Choose ها

The button should now behave normally.

Part 6 — 🔲 Screens & Buttons

Understanding Screens

Think of screens like pages in a book. The مرڪزي اسڪرين screen is page 1. You can شامل ڪريو more pages with different buttons.

Adding a New Screen

1. Tap the three dots (⋮) → سيٽنگ → "Customize buttons and screens"
2. Tap "شامل ڪريو screen"
3. Tap ها to link the new screen to the last button of the previous screen
4. The previous last button (usually Apps) moves to the new screen

Swipe Navigation Between Screens

Instead of tapping buttons to switch screens, you can swipe left and right:

1. سيٽنگ → Screens' options → alsoڻ "Use swipe to navigate screens"
2. Swipe types:
3. From مرڪزي اسڪرين to right — مرڪزي اسڪرين → Screen 2 → Screen 3 (stops at end)
4. Loop — After the last screen, swiping goes وري to مرڪزي اسڪرين

⚠️ Memory warning: Swipe navigation uses more فون memory. If BIG Launcher becomes slow, turn آف swipe or reduce the number of screens.

Customizing Buttons

2. Tap the button you want to change
3. Choose from the available options:

💡 About External Widgets: The space آن a button is limited — we recommend using smaller widgets to maintain readability. The parent app usually launches when you tap the widget آن the مرڪزي اسڪرين screen.

💡 Running out of space? You can شامل ڪريو more screens or change the layout to include more buttons.

Assigning a رابطو to a Button

1. Three dots (⋮) → "Set buttons" → tap the button
2. Choose:

4. Direct ڪال/ايڇ ايم ايس — After choosing a رابطو, you must select which فون number to use. The رابطو's photo will appear آن the button.

💡 To prevent accidental calls, a confirmation dialog is shown when you tap a رابطو button. You can بند this in سيٽنگ, but we don't recommend it — otherwise random calls can be triggered when handling the فون.

Assigning a WhatsApp رابطو

1. Three dots (⋮) → "Set buttons" → tap the button
2. Select "External shortcut"
3. Find WhatsApp in the list
4. Select the رابطو

💡 As of 2020, WhatsApp only allows shortcuts to text conversations, not direct audio/video calls.

Changing Button Icons

1. While editing a button, tap Change icon
2. Choose from: Internal icons, Icon packs, Themes, or From app
3. Tap ڊائونلوڊ more to get additional icon packs

Button Text Labels

1. While editing a button, tap Set label
2. Type a short name (e.g., "Son", "Doctor", "Weather")
3. Configure in سيٽنگ: position (top/center/bottom), size (50%–110%), color

💡 alsoڻ automatic labels in سيٽنگ to auto-name buttons when you assign functions.

Button Blinking for App Notifications

Make buttons blink when apps like WhatsApp, Gmail, etc. have notifications:

1. First, create an app shortcut آن a مرڪزي اسڪرين screen button:
2. Tap the three dots (⋮) → "Set buttons"
3. Tap the button you want to customize
4. Select "App" and choose the desired app (e.g., WhatsApp)
5. Go وري to the مرڪزي اسڪرين screen → tap the three dots → سيٽنگ
6. Tap "Screens' options"
7. alsoڻ "Blinking button when an app shows a notification"
8. A system screen will appear — alsoڻ Notification access for BIG Launcher and tap "Allow"
9. Go وري to the مرڪزي اسڪرين screen — when the app receives a new notification, the button will start to blink

To ڊائونلوڊ more: Tap "ڊائونلوڊ more" in the alsoڻ selector.

• Automatic — Rotates with your فون
• Horizontal — Always landscape
• Vertical — Always portrait

Full-Screen Mode

alsoشو the Android status bar for a cleaner look:

2. To still see battery and signal, alsoڻ:

Safe Borders

The red ايڇ او ايس button can automatically: 1. alsoجھو an emergency ايڇ ايم ايس with your location 2. ڪال a specific فون number

1. سيٽنگ → ايڇ او ايس
2. alsoڻ ** alsoجھو ايڇ ايم ايس**
3. Enter فون numbers in ايڇ ايم ايس فون (separate with commas)
4. Write your emergency پيغام in ايڇ ايم ايس text
5. Set ايڇ ايم ايس wait — seconds before sending (prevents accidental activation)
6. alsoڻ شامل ڪريو GPS location to include your location

Example setup: - فون: +1234567890, +0987654321 - Text: Help me! Emergency! - Wait: 5 seconds - GPS: Enabled

Setting Up ايڇ او ايس ڪال

1. سيٽنگ → ايڇ او ايس
2. alsoڻ ڪال
3. Enter the فون number in ڪال فون
4. Set ڪال wait — seconds to wait after ايڇ ايم ايس is sent

Using ايڇ او ايس

1. Tap ايڇ او ايس آن the مرڪزي اسڪرين screen
2. A countdown appears
3. To منسوخ, tap منسوخ
4. After the countdown: ايڇ ايم ايس is sent, then the ڪال is made آن speakerphone

⚠️ Limitations: - You cannot use emergency numbers like 911 or 112 (Android restriction) - Use family members' or caregivers' numbers instead - GPS is most accurate outdoors; less precise indoors

Dual ايڇ ايم ايس Option

alsoڻ " alsoجھو GPS ايڇ ايم ايس" to alsoجھو two پيغام: 1. First ايڇ ايم ايس — immediate, with approximate location 2. Second ايڇ ايم ايس — once GPS gets a more precise fix

Password Protection

Protect سيٽنگ so only you or a caregiver can change them:

1. Three dots (⋮) → سيٽنگ → سيٽنگ menu
2. alsoڻ "Protect menu"
3. Tap "Password" and enter your password
4. The password can be blank (just press ٺيڪ) or a specific code

⚠️ Warning: If you forget your password, there is نه recovery. You must reinstall BIG Launcher.

What can be protected: - سيٽنگ menu — Password required to کليل سيٽنگ - System سيٽنگ — Password required to access Android سيٽنگ

💡 Tip: Even with System سيٽنگ password-protected, the user can still access system سيٽنگ by pulling down the top notification bar (this is an Android function that cannot be disabled). To make this harder, alsoڻ "Full screen" in سيٽنگ → ** alsoڻ** — this hides the notification bar آن the مرڪزي اسڪرين screen, requiring two separate pull-down moves to access it.

Hiding سيٽنگ in BIG فون / BIG ايڇ ايم ايس
